Natural Shade from Trees
This past week, I went over to Kenyatta University.
I took time to walk around and really enjoyed their well manured lawns, very many trees and well-kept flower beds.
Natural Shade
Adjacent to the University Library, there is an expansive room – The Reading Area. My area of interest was the pavement that connects the reading area to the graduation square. It is lined with very beautiful, dark green colored, leafy tree that provides near complete shade.

Now compare the above with the following artificial shade, that is so common in many parking lots today:

Recommendation
This is a challenge to architects and landscapers. What if parking lots were provided with natural shade (from trees)?
